Kids classes, after-school care and holiday camps in Santiago

The list spans the comunas of Greater Santiago, from Lo Barnechea to Puente Alto and from Maipú to Peñalolén, and files each place under the comuna it stands in. The activities with the most places are taekwondo, football and roller skating; the comunas with the most are Las Condes, Ñuñoa and Providencia. When the school day ends, a child can go on to a weekly class (a taller) or a sports school’s practice at a set time, or stay at an after school, where staff look after children until someone picks them up. In the summer holidays, from December to the end of February, in the two winter weeks and on the Fiestas Patrias days off in September, there are summer schools (escuelas de verano), holiday workshops and day camps.
